Organization Overview
Mayian Women Organization (MAWO) is a community-based non-governmental organization established in 2025, committed to advancing girls’ education, women’s empowerment, and rights awareness within marginalized communities. MAWO was founded to address persistent challenges including poverty, gender inequality, and limited access to quality education.
Since its establishment, MAWO has supported more than 50 young girls to enroll in private English-medium schools, providing comprehensive support that covers school fees, uniforms, learning materials, and other essential needs. This holistic approach enables the girls to learn and thrive in a safe and supportive environment.
In addition, MAWO works to empower women through rights awareness, leadership development, and community engagement, strengthening their capacity to participate meaningfully in family and community decision-making.
Guided by the values of integrity, accountability, and respect for human rights, MAWO is dedicated to building equitable and resilient communities where girls and women can reach their full potential.
